We are having our traditional “Kangeiko” (literally “cold training”) January 12-18 (Sunday through Saturday), 6:30-7:30am each day). The traditional Kangeiko involves a short jog (if raining, calisthenics in the dojo) followed by training at the dojo. Each day’s training is typically led by a different instructor, working up in seniority. Hope to see you there!
Our annual charity kick-a-thon event took place the week of December 13-19. As a group, we once again surpassed 100,000 repetitions. On Saturday, December 23, 2017, Sensei Keeling taught Karate and Self-Defense to over 130 participants in Kolkata, India. Shotokan practitioners from various organizations across eastern India gathered to take part in the all-day event.
