Quite a few kids from our dojo attended a tournament on November 8. Many placed in the top three in their divisions. And a team of yellow- and white-belts won first place in their team kata division!

This Saturday, we will be going over Roshu, a lesser-known kata that Asai Sensei taught on one of his visits to the area about 10 years ago. No kumite class and no kids’ class, as there is another group using the entire facility after our kata class.
Instructors’ Class Nov 1, 1:00-3:00pm, in our Redwood City dojo. All Shotokan black belt holders who are interested in becoming better instructors are invited to join us. Various instructors lead sections on a given theme. This session’s theme is “Recognizing the Weakest Links”
