Hotel Information

Please see the following information about a few local hotels.

Palo Alto Country Inn
There are no hotels within walking distance to the seminar venue, but this is one of the closest. So if you end up not renting a car, you could arrange for a short taxi ride. This motel has several types of rooms, a heated pool outside, continental breakfast & WiFi included for no extra charge. Rates are reasonable for this area at $120-150/night. Availability during camp time is very limited.

address: 4345 El Camino Real, Palo Alto, California 94306
phone: 650-948-9154
email: countryinn_motel@yahoo.com (Please call or email to get the discounted rate – calling is preferred/faster. John & Barbara work at the front desk.)

Dinah’s Garden Hotel
This one is just a block away from the motel above. It’s a nicer place, but weekday rates are much higher ($200+). Weekends are just $100 for singles (update: SOLD OUT) and $140 for 2 queen beds (update: may be sold out). So if you don’t mind switching hotels on Friday, it may be worth the effort. Or if you are only going to be staying for the weekend, you may want to head straight here. As with above, please mention that you are with the “Karate seminars” group to get the discounted rate, which is good through March 1.

Another cheaper option is the Oak Motel. No discounts on their regular rates. They are right next door to Dinah’s and only a block from Country Inn:

4279 El Camino Real Palo Alto, CA, 94306, United States of America, ‎1-866-539-0036

There are many restaurants in the area near the hotels. And there are several choices close to the seminar venue as well. But many restaurants in this area close early (last order around 9:00pm), so plan accordingly!
